NXTZEN Ceramic Professional is a hybrid formulation developed to address the multiple desirable aspects of a modern protective coating: durability, chemical resistance, and the contamination resistance needed to maintain long-term hydrophobic effect for ease of maintenance.

Ceramic Professional uses a Silicon Carbide (SiC) precursor as its main component — a proven system known for creating a permanent, covalent bond to the surface, with superior resistance to both low and high pH levels. Using technology taken from the optometry industry in the development of contact lenses, this main component is reacted with other proprietary compounds to produce an extremely smooth finish with high clarity and exceptional resistance to road grime and environmental pollution.

NOTE: Recommended for clear-over-base paint finishes only.

Safety

Wear gloves throughout the application process. Work in a ventilated area. We highly recommend the wearing of a mask or respirator. Refer to the product SDS before use.

NXTZEN formulas use solvent systems borrowed from the cosmetics industry — noticeably lower odor and gentler on skin contact than conventional coating chemistry. It makes for a better day at the bench, but gloves stay on.

Surface preparation

Coating locks in whatever is beneath it. Correction happens first — once cured, fixing missed defects can be difficult.

Thoroughly decontaminate the surface using NXTZEN Super Clean and NXTZEN Iron Decon. Wash the vehicle using NXTZEN Foam Decon, or ZNR where water restrictions require it. Mix NXTZEN ZNR at clay lubricant concentration and clay all surfaces to be coated.

Machine polish all panels prior to coating. A minimum single-step process is required to minimise paint defects and cleanse the surface. Perform additional polishing steps as requested by the client.

Strip all polish residue and oils with NXTZEN Prep Solvent. This step determines whether the coating bonds, and it's the most common point of failure.

Conditions

Ideal is 70–75°F at 45–50% RH. In those conditions NXTZEN formulas are forgiving enough that an experienced installer can often coat the entire vehicle before starting the leveling process.

Humidity is the variable that causes problems. As it climbs, your working window shortens — reduce your section size and level sooner.

Ensure adequate lighting is available. Indirect or diffused lighting is recommended.

Coverage

Most vehicles take 10 ml or less.

30 ml — 3 cars
60 ml — 6 cars

Application

Ceramic Professional is a single-layer product. With full coverage, multiple layers are not required to achieve performance. Do not layer.

Work panel by panel, spreading the coating evenly in cross-hatch patterns to ensure complete, wet coverage. Working full panels is recommended; for larger areas, follow body lines where possible. Uniform coverage, not saturation.

Dwell

Climate-controlled, 70–75°F / 45–50% RH: 5–15 minutes.
Warmer, more humid, or airflow present: work toward the short end.

Watch the flash rather than the clock.

Removal

Initial knock-down with one clean microfiber. Flip the towel and continue leveling residue. Complete removal with a second clean microfiber. When a microfibre becomes saturated with coating, discard it and use a fresh cloth.

Wet-insurance wipe (optional)

For remaining residue or high spots — dark patches from uneven application — dampen a clean towel with distilled or RO water, wipe the panel, and buff dry. Clean distilled water will not affect the cure.

Cure and handover

Environment cure: 15–24 hours.
Safe for soap and agitation washing after 7 days.

During the first 7 days, remove surface contamination such as bird droppings immediately.

Book the client into a maintenance program with their NXTZEN professional before they leave.
